Interactive 3D product worlds by Kevin · Immersive Product Worlds

Your product.
Easy to understand in your browser.

Interactive 3D websites for things a regular photo can't explain.

The digital 360 workshop

Show products as they really are.

Choose an example. Rotate the product, open the assemblies and discover the details. This is how your product could also become something visitors can experience on your website.

Film transcript
  1. The problem. Some things a photo can't explain. Form, function, space: whoever can film it understands it faster.
  2. The solution. Your product. Understand it in the browser. Rotate it, open it up, switch variants, right on the model.
  3. Where 3D pays off. Three ways to make it understandable: machines and products, property and architecture, configurators.
  4. The result. Whoever turns it understands it faster. Showing variants instead of describing them. Fewer pattern parts, clearer orders.
  5. What you get out of it. Show instead of describe, explain without a prototype. Also works on mobile and with reduced motion.
  6. Contact. DreiHundertSechzig, 3D web design. Discuss your product in 3D: dreihundertsechzig.com/kontakt.

When people can turn it themselves, they understand it faster.

3D pays off where form, function or space are part of the buying decision.

Machines & products

Show what happens inside.

Open up components, switch variants, explain features directly on the model.

Compact planetary gear with output flange, ring gear housing and output shaft – assembled

Planetary gearbox · 5:1 reduction · 12 / 18 / 48 teeth

Real estate & architecture

Experience the rooms before your first visit.

Floor plans, buildings and sightlines become a guided tour.

Brands & campaigns

A website nobody will mistake for a website builder template.

Spatial brand worlds for launches, trade fairs and special products.

Configurators

Options become a decision.

Material, colour and equipment change visibly instead of only in a list.

Three sensible starting points.

Interactive 3D product worlds

Immersive Product Worlds: for products you need to understand.

Visitors rotate your product, open it up, choose variants and open up details. Real 3D is only used where interaction or spatial understanding justifies it.

Areas of use

  • Products with variants
  • Machines and technical systems
  • Vehicles and vehicle parts
  • Product launches
  • offerings that need spatial explanation

Requirements

  • CAD or mesh data that you release, or photos and measurements for a rebuild.
  • Rights to model and textures.
  • A decision on what must not be shown.

Technology and trust

  • A still image appears first, then the model loads.
  • Without WebGL or with reduced motion, you see the image and the full text. On weaker devices, the 3D display is reduced.
  • Rotate with touch, mouse or keyboard; the page keeps scrolling as normal.
  • The variant you choose is sent along with your enquiry.
  • No tracking without consent.

Clear limits

  • If a photo explains your product at a glance, I don't recommend 3D.
  • Without rights to the model and data, I don't build anything.
  • Pure services usually don't need a 3D product world.

Building a model is quick.
The real work is the experience around it.

The 3D model is built from whatever fits best — construction data, real photographs or purpose-built objects. For the website, it is reduced, compressed, lit and given genuine user guidance.

  1. Step 01

    Concept

    Which interaction helps with understanding?

  2. Step 02

    Asset

Create the model, clean it up and make it web-ready.

  3. Step 03

    Experience

Develop camera, light, movement and click points.

  4. Step 04

    Acceptance

Check mobile, keyboard, reduced motion and load time.
