How Robens digitized their construction sites.

Security technology company Robens plans alarm systems, video surveillance and access control across all of NRW. Until now it has used external software and paper. Now it has its own app, which also works without internet.

The starting point

Three problems, one everyday routine.

Every project at Robens starts with a floor plan: where does which camera go? Which detector where? This is how it used to work:

The planning ran through a external software (buildingplan.de) — dependent on a third-party provider, no offline mode, no own control.

Documentation spread across various tools. Plans here, photos there, reports somewhere else. No overview, no system.

No internet on the construction site. Exactly where the tool was needed most, it was useless.
